Next we went to Siem Reap Elephants sanctuary. Wow, what a great experience! We made rice and banana bowls for the elephants and fed them, It was a lot of fun and laughter. After that we followed them going to the mud bath and into the river. We were able to wash them and the guides took lots of pictures for us. “We enjoyed visiting Bantreay Srei (well preserved carvings!) and the Landmine Museum (informative and sad). We hiked uphill in the jungle to Kbal Spean halfway when someone told us that the river was so high that the carvings could not be seen, plus that it started to rain, so we turned around. Our tuk tuk driver was late, but friendly. The tuk tuk ride felt a bit long for these destinations out of town, but it was scenic and nice to feel the breeze and rain. Overall good value. I would recommend it to anyone not bothered by long tuk tuk rides.”
